What is 'mobile safari'?
This type of safari is also called 'the low impact' or 'light footprint' safari. Your group will have their own personal guide. While your guide takes you out on your safari, the other staff members will travel ahead to set up an exclusive camp for you in the wilderness.
When you arrive on site at the end of the day, the tents will be ready, beds made, the fire burning and the table set for dinner under the stars.
The chef cook prepares daily meals, freshly cooked in the safari camp.
In the middle of the day during your mobile safari, you will have time to relax, read a book or have a nap. Early in the morning and again the afternoon you will go on a long game drive (safari in the open Toyota Landcruiser) to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and many other animals and birds.
Luxury in the wild
Every tent is a spacious, strong canvas tent with two stretcher beds with comfortable mattresses and warm blankets for the crisp, cool winter nights. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom area with a 'dry' toilet, a basin and a bucket shower. This bathroom is connected to the tent, so you can use your toilet safely during the night.
The camp is set up in the wilderness where there are no other tourists to be seen except for you and your party. The mobile fridges and lights run on solar panels. Your cameras and phones can be charged in the vehicle. Be aware that there is no reception for cell phones or WIFI.
When you leave, the staff will take down the whole camp and remove every piece of rubbish. Only your footprints will be left behind.
Tailor-made trips
A mobile safari can be tailored to fit your requirements. The number of days and the size of your own group, you choose yourself. The minimum number of days is 3 and the minimum number of guests is 4, maximum of 10.
You can combine a mobile safari perfectly with a stay in lodges or B&B's. Or combine with a visit to the world famous Victoria Falls, the lush Cape winelands or the dunes of Namibia.
